2 squares low loft polyester batting (quilter's dream puff or Hobbs 4.5 oz Polyester) 12"x12"

Collins water erasable or air erasable pen
1 spool YLI water soluble thread
1 spool machine quilting thread (Mettler or Sulky 40 wt) 164 yards
50 Dritz size 1 nickel plated safety pins, straight or curved
