{Tour The Shoppe Tuesday}

This part of the shoppe is my personal favorite. ;)

It is all things bright, girly & fun!

Amy Butler & Heather Bailey consume a big part! Ahhhh.....

By our cutting counter you will find a doorway, take that doorway & you will find all this!

Did I mention the cute displays?!??! Not just found in this room though, the whole store is pretty clever, if I must say so! But back to this section:

And how cute is that quilt on this bed?!??! Like it??? There is a kit made up for it!

And all the cute Amy Butler is along this wall::

Home decor fabrics....

And we have come full circle: Doorway back to the main section of the shoppe is right there on the left ;)

Quick Tuesday tour, but well worth seeing all the cute-ness!

{Tour The Shoppe Tuesday}

While at the shoppe, after you take a look at the batiks or juvenile sections of the store there is a door way that goes into another part of the shoppe.

This is a wonderful room....for a few reasons.

1) This is used as the shoppe classroom. If you signed up for a class, this is usually where you will meet, learn and sew. (We specify if it will be @ the Wilson Theatre, like The Kim Diehl class was.)

There are even samples of the classes in one corner....

How cute are those vintage baby quilts?!?!??!

2) In another corner you will find this:

Sale fat quarters, sale patterns, sale kits. Including the samples of the kits on sale.

3) Did I mention the word sale??? Well, this is also where our sale WALL of fabric is located!

And there are a lot of choices back here! A little bit of every thing!

So next time you are in the shoppe don't forget to go to the back of the shoppe and check out this room!

{Tour The Shoppe Tuesday}

The section of the shoppe that I am taking you into is the section we call the 'juvenile' section.
It is screaming all things little kids!

It has a few bolts of flannel :) (a few.....ha!)

This wall.....

and this row is all full of flannel! ;)

And row.....

after row......

after row of cotton fabric....

And let us not forget the SOFTEST wall in the store!
The wall of minky!

If you have never put minky on the back of one of your quilts, may I suggest you do one?!??! You will soon become a fan! :)

There is the neutral/plain minky

And some decorative minky thrown in with the pastels....

Want to make a quilt or two out of ALL minky?!??!
Here is two quilt patterns you (or your loved one!) will absolutely love being wrapped up in!

LOVE the cotton ruffle on the edges of this one!

Or there is this one:

See it over there in the corner of the picture?
Here is a better view:

And lastly, remember the 'color wall' I mentioned last week?!?!?
Well, this section has one too! All full of bright fun fabrics!

Thanks for taking the tour with me!

{Tour The Shoppe Tuesday}

The tour today is the part of the store we call the "Color Wall".

Want to make a quilt just full of blues?!??! A good place to look is here! There is a whole selection to choose from :)

See why we call it the color WALL?!??! This whole wall is just a sea of color!

White on whites and neutrals

Included in this area is some great batiks....

Of course we can't forget this wall....

The Kaffe Fasset wall:

Looks like a light bulb is out!

He overflows into this side of the wall....

And in between is everything Quilt Soup patterns & Bunny Hill

And we can't forget "Simply Sweet" fabric & the tea towel area:

Still not finished with this side of the store yet....see you next week! ;)

{Tour The Shoppe Tuesday}

I don't really know what to call this little section I am showing you today.

Notions Area?
Stitchery Area?
Felt?
Books?
DMC floss?
Rick Rack?

Regardless, this little area is FULL of all of the above! ;)

Next to our first quilting machine (Hi Bonnie!) you will find the area of {Fabulous-ness} (is that even a word??!??!)

See it??

It starts off with the fabulous fall display, like I talked about HERE
Cute stuff found here..... :)

Behind that is this....(I must like to take pictures the same time every day, you know the time of day when the sun is blasting through the top windows making glares on all the patterns!)

A little further back you will come to this....

All the DMC floss you could dream of! See the three cute little boxes on top??? Those right there hold all of the stitchery patterns that you see displayed.

Husband come in shopping with you?? Direct him to this great chair while you take a look around, there is even a basket of magazines for him to look through. Did you notice the wall behind that comfy chair??!?!? That would be a wall of all things books. Books of all sorts. Oh, and some stitchery samples hanging up above!

Need thread?? All things sewing requires thread, and do we have thread!

We also have a sea of felt (and wool felt) and tons of rick rack.

This is such a fun little area! Make sure you remember to take a look when you are in! ;0)

{Tour The Shoppe Tuesday}

Today's tour finds us at one of two beauties in the shoppe.

(Hi Bonnie! Your debut on the blog! Thanks for being nice & letting me take your picture!)

Have I ever mentioned the long arm quilting in the shoppe before?!?!?!?

Well, let me tell you first off that we have 3 {extremely} talented quilters in our shoppe that when they are standing behind one of the quilters they are doing everything FREEHAND.
You read that right. They do everything freehand. No computers, no stylus lasers helping them along. They do it all!
Their work AMAZES me with the wonderful job they do! I could probably stand (In awe, might I add) and watch them as they work all day long. But I don't. :)

(Fabric pictured is BLUSH)

To read more about pricing & about the long arm quilting information click HERE
We also offer machine binding if you don't want to do it! Sometimes there comes a time where you just have time to do it yourself....let us do it for you! :)

The second machine is located a little further back in the shoppe. It is big enough you can't miss it :)

{Tour The Shoppe Tuesday}

Today's tour is where "the cutting" happens :)

It's all about the cutting counter area!

You will most likely find one of us working there.

There is TONS of notions on the walls. Anything from needles, scissors, rotary cutters, fabric pens, spray starch, irons, or cutting mats. Just to name a few...because just look, there is a ton of options! Don't be afraid to come back and take a peek to see if what you are looking for is back there or if there is something back there you just might want. We don't mind ;)

But there are a few things I want to point out:

This cute little display right in front of the register is always full of fun things. Right off the bat, I see the two cute tea towels. Our talented Shelley, comes up with some cute ideas for just about every holiday, season or occasion. Kits are available for these too! Those blue bottles you see is the BEST lotion I have ever tried! No joke, it's not greasy and helps those dry crafty hands.

This shelf/display usually changes quite often. Just on Saturday while I was working it was full of Kim Diehl's quilts. Today, it's different. :)

Of course, I can't leave out this cute little display area. More on this one tomorrow....

It may be our cutting tables, but don't forget to look down. Of course there are bolts & bolts of super cute fabric found under there! ;) And it continues through the length of the entire counter!

Quick tour tonight, I think I am still trying to catch my breath from working two of the three days of our sale.

Speaking of sale, thanks to you all that came in to take advantage of the sale prices! We loved to see all you fun crafty women!
